Under The Rice Lilies of Paris

Reservations available from 5:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Events are held in the Commodity Council Room, 154 Eckles Hall.

The culinary precision of the French and Japanese regions have for generations exceeded the expectations of diners worldwide. For a night of fine dining, a synthesis of these fine cuisines will entice diners to enjoy fantastic food in an atmosphere of romance and elegance. Each dish will highlight delicious options that will seamlessly incorporate elements from the historical cuisine of both regions, while staying true to French and Japanese classic culinary techniques.

Starters

Roasted Duck Flatbread
A layer of hoison glaze sauce, watercress, red onion, a thin slice of poached pear, and topped with herb de provence seasoning

Japanese Onion Soup
A Japanese style French onion soup infused with a ginger, garlic, and sake based broth, then topped with a rice cracker

Entrées

Beef Tenderloin Medallions
Two 4oz blue cheese crusted medallions resting upon a drizzle of wasabi cream sauce, served alongside Japanese sea salt dusted pomme frites and French green beans cooked in a soy based sauce

Red Wine Soy Braised Spare Ribs
Spare ribs slow cooked in a red wine and soy based sauce joined by our duck fried rice and our stuffed panko crusted roma tomato

Sole En Papillote
Sole seasoned with thyme and lemon and steamed in parchment, also accompanied by our duck fried rice and an edemame salad

Three wonton cups filled with green tea ice cream, chocolate mousse, and a lemon pastry cream

Crepe Roll
Coated with sweet rice, stuffed with fresh blackberries, honey dew melon and cream cheese, finished with a sweet blackberry reduction
